INNER GOLD: Understanding the Psychology of Projection

A two-day workshop for those curious to make sense of recurring patterns—relationship triggers, strong emotional reactions, self-doubt, and the feeling of being “stuck”—and turn them into insight and growth.

Projection is the mind’s way of placing what’s uncomfortable, unowned, or undeveloped in us onto someone else. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to recognize projection in everyday life, gently reclaim what’s yours, and uncover the strengths and desires you may have set aside over the years—your “inner gold”, as described by Jungian analyst, Robert Johnson.

Over two guided, supportive days, you’ll explore:
– Why certain people or situations trigger you disproportionately
– How projection shows up in friendships, marriage, family, and work
– Practical tools for self-reflection, boundaries, and emotional clarity
– How to integrate “shadow” parts with compassion—without shame
– A clearer, kinder path forward for this season of your life

About Dr. Dido G. Villasor, PhD, RPsy, RPm

Dr. Dido is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist involved in private practice, education and consultation. Currently, she teaches at the RMT Center for Family Ministries, Ateneo de Manila University, ACA Doctoral Program, Asian Social Institute, the Residency Training Program at Makati Medical Center. She maintains a private practice in Clinical Psychology and psychotherapy and serves as a consultant to the Section of Psychiatry at Makati Medical Center.
